Assistant Prof. Ekaterina Dikova, PhD

Assistant Prof. Ekaterina Dikova, PhD is a philologist and medievalist at the Institute of Balkan Studies and Centre of Thracology at BAS. Her main interests are in rhetoric and rhythm, medieval translations from Greek in South Slavonic environment, diachronic linguistics, etymology and terminology. She has specialised in Germany, Hungary (Medieval Studies), Great Britain (Translation Studies), Austria and Italy and is the author of over 60 publications. She has been involved in a number of international projects related to digitisation of cultural heritage, incl. as a coordinator of the Bulgarian participation of some of them and the head of the team digitising the Old Prints Collection kept at the Central Library of BAS.
