Georgi Mitov

Georgi Mitov has been granted a master’s degree in Old Bulgarian Studies and a bachelor’s degree in history from the Sofia University. He worked as a philologist at the Institute of Balkan Studies and Centre of Thracology at BAS until recently and is currently studying for a Research Master: Master of Advanced Studies in Theology and Religion at KU Leuven, Faculty of Theology. He has specialised at the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, the University of Durham, and the Vivarium Novum Academy in Frascati, Rome. His main interests are in the field of Byzantine studies. He has participated in international projects with the University of Oxford (UK), has collaborated to the Zograph Monastery Library and has worked on the technical and linguistic editing of a new publication of M. Voinov’s Ancient Greek-Bulgarian Dictionary.
